Forever’s Love (poem)

Updated on September 5, 2012

A dream came and swept me away

And gave a new meaning to day

A blessing from heaven did stray

That in love forever I’d stay

-

Now Joy kissed each moment I knew

Each heartbeat was only for you

Such wonder which we wandered through

Where wishes do really come true

-

The weary world was swept away

Replaced by the glories of you

And oh what our time put us through

So in love forever we’d stay

-

But doubt rocked this haven we knew

No love could live content each day

Such madness set senses to stray

Till troubles did challenge what’s true

-

Forever’s love fought for its stay

That all lesser lusts would soon stray

But that was a far away day

When dream came and swept me away

You and Debbie are hopeless romantics. Here's to all the hopeless romantics!

Beautiful words and of course, Frank is always good.

      Mh-

Like birds, love can soar. Yet, upon occasion, it's necessary to come down to feed. It's a constant battle between flight and food. One just has to decide what's on the menu and what's important.

      Loved It! Great Job!

MHatter, truly a celebration of love. Frank Sinatra backed by violins and a chorus of angels says it all. And then the end. Regards snakeslane

We must all work at love, for it will not last without it.
