Forever’s Shade (poem)

Updated on March 1, 2016

Do you remember

Do you recall

Seasons of laughter

Echoes of fall

-

Mornings of promise

Flowers with dew

We lived in wonder

If only we knew

-

Do you remember

No dream too small

Each moment hoped for

Ours after all

-

Time ambled mildly

Visions we drew

We danced mid stardust

If only we knew

-

Floating in some glade

Memories we made

Join endless cascade

In forever’s shade

-

Do you remember

When we stood tall

We faced each pressure

We couldn’t fall

-

The light in the dark

Was me and you

Hope of tomorrow

If only we knew

-

For there in some glade

Precious heartbeats swayed

And love is conveyed

From forever’s shade

-

Do you remember

Do you recall

Times not together

Happened at all

-

Forever recalling

Moments so true

We kissed them goodbye

If only we knew

Music only

Dreams are what life is made of. Chase them now, for you never know what tomorrow may bring. Lovely poem, Martin.

Beautiful message of tomorrow not being promised to us, "If only we knew." Thank you for your wisdom and shared experiences about love. Up.
