Sometimes Women Forget

It usually seems that women

have the advantage.

You can't argue

with them.

Not a chance, because

they never seem to forget a thing.

Date, time and place,

every damn detail.

Doesn't matter if it

happened years before.

We're left speechless,

struggling to remember.....anything!

But once in a while,

it is the man who remembers.

But here again

he struggles.

Wondering how this woman

was able to forget.

Maybe not him

but how he loved her.

How she once wrote to him

deeply passionate notes.

And told him things

that stirred his soul.

Told him he was

a miracle to her.

The one, she thought,

that only existed in her imagination.

That when they first touched,

in that moment,

She became his forever,

and when he looked at her,

She felt love,

like she'd never felt before.

Yes, sometimes,

women do forget.

Sometimes I wonder how we possibly can forget such moments that should leave lasting impressions. But it happens. Thank you for a great poem. Jamie
