Forgiving Myself For Loving You

Updated on January 9, 2014

Anan is an online blogger and private consultant since 2009 in the areas of relationships and interfaith spirituality.

My delicious and beautiful jailer,

in the twilight of my dreams

you keep my heart prisoner

and my will in your hands.

Feeling small, inadequate

and sadness beyond the flesh.

Where you don't participate

in my secret anguish.

I hated you, hating myself

for pointless pursuits of angels

Keeping those words to yourself,

keeping them in pretty dorsels.

But don't mind you me

because is my fault, my doing.

I already forgave myself you see,

for letting you be my undoing.

I like this one by you Ananceleste, its definitely a poem that embraces attachment and the notion of letting go, yup self pity is always like this, and you've expressed it in a deep poetic way to evoke true emotions. Awesome job!

      Thumbs up and out.

It hurts to love, and not be loved back. Certainly we grow from it. Individually and spiritually.

      Written well. AD

Anaceleste, this a beautifully tortured poem that pulses with the ache of longing and aguish much like a one-sided love affair or relationship that has ended. I love it; awesome!
