Forgotten Fields (poem)

Updated on February 2, 2015

Forgotten fields now lost in snow

Which saw such Joy so long ago

When in our hearts such youth did flow

In music of I love you so

And smiles were ready to explain

The wonderment of each refrain

Of blossoms left there in our lain

In paradise which we maintain

We danced through life like gentle snow

And lavished in each sweet refrain

There hand in hand we met each lain

In meadows of I love you so

So long was life waves to explain

Of things we tried and had ago

As lane took us on odd new flow

What’s clear became hard to maintain

Now here we sit so lost in so

Two victims of pure passion’s flow

Rich memories not long ago

Forgotten fields now lost in snow

A beautiful poem Martin, the sun will shine when you rendezvous under a tree at Skylawns.

Love is something that we must always work on, and these instances so often happen. Your keen eye on human nature is so well attuned.

      Exquisite . . .

Wow, Just wow, I am stunned. I loved it. Very nicely written. Your choice of words and the flow were both nicely done as well as the strucutre. Amazing Job. Keep up the outstanding work.

Nostalgia. It can be quite sad, but beautiful at the same time.

Such sadness. Memories, to me, are actually like the fallen snow.

When the snow melts there is nothing left.
