Fortune Telling Poetry To Inspire, A Poem About Crystal Gazing

Updated on November 20, 2011

It is rare to find fortune telling poetry, but this one will inspire you. This is a poem about crystal gazing. Can you do it? If so, what can you see? The thing about scrying is it is not just about what you see, but what feel, hear and, sometimes, taste. It is about integrating all the senses into one.

The crystal ball is a gateway to the soul and upward toward higher consciousness - can you let yourself go?

Check for the clues, the symbols in what you see. What does this mean to you? Feel your way in deciphering the truth - as you see it - and allow those feelings to engulf you.

The crystal ball is just a tool, it is crystal gazing - or you - that the truth comes through to. You do the gazing and you have the access to you.

Fear not as you discover yourself. Be honest with you, whatever you might see, for once you have seen your truth, you are halfway to becoming a better person. It is those in denial that stagnate.

Stagnation is EVIL because you do not LIVE. Can you see the opposite? If you don't live your life ... it is evil. We are here for joy, discover your truth for it is within you.

Crystal Gazing

I gaze darkly into the crystal,

To see where myself has just been,

To look through the mirror of conscience,

To check that it’s me, that I’ve seen.

In fear and wonder, I stand there,

And shake in the dark of the night,

For the beacon of knowledge is missing,

And ignorance, keeps out the light.

Oh, for a match in the darkness,

A fire-fly, to show me the way,

My eyes have been shuttered in blindness,

Though I stagger towards a new day.

But now, the crystal glows brighter,

And I see where my soul has just been,

It’s flown on the wings of the astral,,

And learnt, by all that it’s seen.

Poetry Explanation

Fear is associated with darkness, this poem is trying to show you the light - not through ignorance - but enrichment.

The fire-fly is a beacon of light, like a candle in the darkness, where there is light darkness is banished. Don't blind yourself - kidding yourself is just a way to denial and ignorance - keep your eyes open and BE AWARE, because we all stagger when we are blind.

A new day, however, is a new hope. The poem suggests the brightness of the crystal glow, but where there is light, there is a shadow - 'where my soul has just been', leaving an echoe in the past.

Crystal gazing opens the veil - the doors to the astral - and it is here that all has been learned and seen.

A fascinating and beautiful poem about the power we all have within us to reach new heights - and as you say, bring light into the dark. The whole hub was a fascinating insight into scrying - I really enjoyed this. Voted up + awesome!
