Deep Dark Death
Deep Dark Death | Source

A poem expressing feelings in the face of danger, there is no escape, no way out and you hope somehow that you can escape.

Diving falling,

Speeding swirling,

Arms flailing,

Tumbling down,

No gravity around.

Sucked in fast,

No breath to last,

Memories flashes,

Here then gone,

Vanish disappear,

Not a thing clear,

Life,

A distant memory,

Death in despair.

Free fall

darkness engulfs

Falling Free

Caught in a tornado, feelings and thoughts run riot. Round and round your head spins and you feel choked squeezed out of breath, forever, read on -

Darkness engulfs,

Cannot see,

Falling free,

Hopelessness,

Like a whirlpool,

Swirling engulfs me.

Handcuffs strapped,

In a deathly clasp,

Tightening grip,

Not even a slip,

Trying to grasp,

Clutching desperate,

Falling free.

Not a thing to hold,

Diving fast,

Into a sinkhole,

No memories to last,

No loved ones,

No friends,

Not a single soul,

To set me free.

Hurtling fast,

Swallowed whole,

No breath to last,

Down out and cold.

Have you experienced a free falling experience?

Free falling - these both evoked that real sense of danger I'm sure you felt. Of course, I admit, as I write this, I'm thinking of that Tom Petty song...hehe.

      Wonderful poems!

Very interesting writing. It flows to actually give the feeling of movement.

The meaning as someone said above could be interpreted as a thousand different things by the reader. Nice work.

This is very descriptive of those experiencing despair in their lives. Very much how it feels: free falling without any net below.
