Friday Night 7

Updated on November 1, 2011

What did I do on Friday night

When I was away from my friend bright

A journey long of many miles

A different place and less of smiles

On Friday night as I sat there

It was with a friend for who I care

We talked of past and future too

And I ate snacks from a packet blue

A cat very large, Tigre by name

Head butted me a favourite game

A journey long next day to go

To see a child who I love so

A special granddaughter to gaze upon

And celebrate her turning twenty one

So some reflection there had been

Upon the life of this child not seen

How she had grown so big you see

From the tiny baby she did once be

And so we sat Nan and Rockypa there

And spoke of our granddaughter with a care

A different tale of a Friday night

Still with humour, perhaps not so light
