I will not say that every disappointment is a blessing but to me,most disappointments are blessings.
The hardest thing in life is understanding the essence of being disappointed...
To be disappointed by someone you trust is not a set back in life,it is not even a thing to cry for.To me, it is just one of those things about life though it hurts but if there is no disappointment, there will never be victory nor success.
I was born into a modest family though we didn't have in abundance but we never lacked, there was no golden rule in the family and we were just flowing until one dark day.
The day that brought tears to all our eyes and changed the whole plans we had,it was the day Dad left us for the great beyond.
The vacuum you created is wide
No one can fill the space you left
No one can fit into your shoes
Things turned from bad to worse
Prayers became my only option
Father,i need you in my life, who else will i turn to if not you, there is no one but you,i need you Jesus, please father, make way for me because this world has nothing for me,show me the right direction to go because help seems far from me,rescue me Jesus...
To avoid getting into a worst state,i took up the chance to learn trading and that was how i ended up in the scrap yard,it was challenging but that was the only way Jesus had for me.Hustling in the scrap yard where the rule is "NO CLIENT NO FOOD" was not use to me but my desire to succeed in life became my only courage and with total dedication and devotion,i was able to pass each day as it come.
I created a great impression among all my peers in the yard,i was a motivational figure to many and people i do not know always have something good to talk about me.
My first car came in the form of a scrap,it was a 1974 Mercedes Benz and it took me quite a hell of time to fix it.
Fixing my car became a hubby to me as i bought all the parts needed to fix it day after day and worked on the car night after night.
Thanks to Mike,an auto mechanic without whom,i wouldn't have owned a car
It took me six months
But i finally had my car on the road. The car was a turning point in my life,i have mastered everything about dealing on scrap and what it takes to work in the yard so what i did to help myself was to create a schedule for myself.
I work full time on weekdays in the scrap yard then use my car for transportation during the weekend, shuttling with four passengers to and fro my state to a nearby state which takes eight hours of my Sundays was what i love doing because the return was more than a minimum wage.
I kept this schedule for a year and by this time,my efforts began paying me substantially and this made me to understand the importance of whatever we do in life.
My Bank account showed this importance.
The second year of my new life as a full time scrap dealer and a part time transporter paid me well because i was able to buy two buses from the yard, fixing them was not all that easy but like the saying goes,"Determination is the key".
I had them on the road and was heading to my destination because in life, we all have one thing in common... "BREAK THROUGH".
I am now a proud owner of a car and two buses and from all indications, my breakthrough is near to me.
I was driving home from the yard when i spotted this man by the road, the look in his face told me immediately that he needed help, his car broke down and there was no one to assist him so i pulled over and he told me that he was going to the airport,i offered to tow his car and drop it for him at the airport's car park.
Helping this man was one thing i appreciated but how can he forget his briefcase in my car?
I opened the briefcase and saw bundles of money,it contained a total of one hundred and twenty thousand dollars, this amount of money will take me a life time to put together so i didn't have a second thought about what to do.The man has gone his way and here i am alone with this luck.
I sat steering at the money but the more i tried to understand what was happening, the more i see myself as a rich man,the better life i have always hoped for is right on my finger tips, this money will enable me set up my own scrap yard ans as well establish a big transport company.
Two weeks later
Not knowing where i was heading but knew exactly what i was doing enabled me to trace the man.To me,it was the right thing to do,the money is not mine,it belong to someone else so giving him back his money was the best thing and only option for me.I want a break through in life but not in this form.
Everyone in his office that morning was shocked, they all shook my hand and praised me but to me,i did not do anything special or extra ordinary,it was the right thing to do so waving hands at me like i was a celebrity or a star was uncalled for,i simply did what is normal to be done in such situation.
But like the saying goes... "One good turn deserves another".
The man has something more than a thank you.He is the proprietor of SBC HOLDINGS LTD.
The sole and major importer of all Delmer Benz Cars and Accessories and his word for me was simply my break through.
"Son your honesty has paid you today"
From then onward,i became a distributor for SBC,working with this conglomerate propelled me to the shores of the world, the doors of the international market was opened for me and with SBC and their steady supply of genuine car accessories,i was able to meet the demands of all my customers.
SBC made me what i am because the society i live in has a good business climate for transportation so if owning fleet of Luxurious buses makes one a Transport Tycoon then
THE YOUNG SHALL GROW TRANSPORT COMPANY is a name to reckon.
I am what i am because i worked for what i own,it takes nothing to excel in life but all i can tell you is this...
We all are meant to shine so as a business executive who rose from scrap to class, here are four vital tips to become successful in life.
