Frustration has set in

Updated on June 24, 2012

Frustration has set in

I'm trying to make amends

With the desires of my heart

And my wants and needs

Maybe what I want is not what I need

Or maybe what I need is not what I want

Or maybe what I want is what I need

However, I know that God supplies all my needs.

I know that He will give me the desires of my heart

So I don't know why Im constantly tearing myself apart

Frustration has set in

my only outlet is my paper and a pen.

I can let my feelings out without a response

I can let my feelings out without being judged

I can let my feelings out without someone holding a grudge

Frustration has set in

But I am determined to win

I will not allow my heart and mind to clash

No longer will they be thrashing

Stirring up all kinds of emotions

I am determined to be free

free within my spirit, my body, and my mind

The seemingly neverending battle between heart and mind, beautifully depicted in this poem. Great job!
