G.O.F.P....The Grand Old Frog Party (a poem)

Updated on September 23, 2015
G.O.F.P. (Grand Old Frog Party)
G.O.F.P. (Grand Old Frog Party)
Who can concentrate?
Who can concentrate?
The Green House on he Hill, to await...
The Green House on he Hill, to await...
Too much on our plate...
Too much on our plate...

The Trump card is played,

While in the bush...one awaits.

The rest... hesitates.

An old face in place,

As over the hill...dawn breaks.

Smiles with her mistakes.

A Green House party,

For pity's sakes...takes the cakes...

What a mess, it makes!

No soul concentrates...

While the News Media placates...

Too much...on our plates.

A strange tomorrow,

Where's a starship to borrow...

When I have the shakes?

I believe you said it all in a nutshell. One must make a mockery out of the strange event, as it can get so heated

Thank you my friend... all in jest, because with this circus going on...it has to be regarded as such. whonu

Whonu, I love the fun you poke at the current state of affairs. This is a fun poem, but gets the point across!

Simple on the surface, deep underneath. Great work!

O my...this whole running-for-President thing is a mess. That really is not even an accurate term, either.

The name calling and slams at each other, back and forth, makes me wish those who do them would crawl back under a rock.

And some who speak their minds in candor, saying how they really believe on an issue(s) are castigated and villified for doing so. Someone who will say what they feel honestly is a breath of fresh air (and I do not mean the Donald).

Said too much I suppose; I usually keep my lips sealed on topics centering around political issues.

Angels are on the way to you this morning ps
