Galaxy: A Poem

Updated on January 20, 2014

Glimmers of light shine through a black veil,

Creating tiny pinpoints of hope in the night sky,

Our eyes fill with wonder at the brilliant sight,

Mesmerized, we lie on the cool grass,

Gazing up at the starry waltz,

Awestruck at the magnitude of it all.

A beautiful poem about the wonder and delight of the night sky, and it is so well written with a great use of imagery and interesting words and phrases. Enjoyed it very much.

      " veil..."

      "...starry waltz..."

Your poem rhythmically turns the reader around, three times upward to those:

      "...tiny pinpoints of hope..."

Your what I would call a Skysister Poet!

      Very galactic.
