Gears OF time

Updated on February 25, 2011

I wonder how long will  I remain anchored to this harbor called battlefield~erza scarlet fairy tail episode 65

Gears of Time

Midnight

Clock ticking on the moist rotten wall

Announcing: pieces of my heart ready to fall

Into the dark’s excruciating silence

That’s names you its mistress

Stakes driven through my heart

Solid and determined to tear it apart

Fixated on destroying the shields around my heart

The massacre’s just at its beginning, at its start

My tears, only mine to claim fall crashing around me

Questioning: to give in or fight, what will it be?

Dawn:

Sun burning my wretched skin

Mocking, a life drenched in sin

With those old yet shaky hands of mine

Trembling, I have drowned my world in wine

Now, sober and distressed but stuck with shame

Watching, the sun burning my skin in flame

My fists fall crashing next to me,

Begging my body and my soul to flee

Under the tormenting eye-opening rays of sunlight

Wondering, I sit about my treacherous life in sight

You might think you can get away with your sins during the night

But screaming, your conscience calls with the earliest sunlight

Guilt sinks below my skin as I sigh

Breathing, yet living a life of strife and lie

The light throughout the window points out my obscenity

Tampering, with my self-proclaimed harmony

“You have lived a life regardless to consequences

Now watch the gears of time burning in sequence”

Noon:

Alone again in an empty deserted house

Eating coldness without a spouse

Holding my breath as everything burns to spark

Although I’ve gloated about my pride that brought the dark

Only no pride on earth is free from a curse from heaven

Yet I have been doomed to live under seven

And my heart has never known no mercy no forgiveness

Crying, suffocated by the silence of the smothering darkness

Redemption, but it is too late to speak

For my life of misery has reached its peak

Midnight again:

Midnight calls again the ghosts of the past

Mocking, as I watch it blast

Through my shields and into my soul

Making an incurable hole

As I fall to one knee bow to the goddess of the night

Crying for someone to end this deadly fight

Should I stand my ground or should I retreat?

Burning, for sure I will stumble off my feet

Sparkling angle my savior in my time of need

Can you guide me towards the light, will you lead?

Just amazing. Your poetry is filled with unqiue imagery; your words capture us and keep us there, anxiously waiting for something more. Well done!
