Ghost Writer Serenade

Updated on April 9, 2017

Writing in the night, working till first daylight, script on the page,

Ghostly serenade, no mistakes are made, words of every sage.

All messages, each metaphor, what there is in store, all the rage.

Freedom in songs, to the world belongs, thoughts once encaged.

Descriptions from a pen, applied again and again, things of beauty,

Writing as in art, makes scenes to mean a lot, our pleasurable duty.

Colors, all the rest, written as our best, present an open book of fun,

Working during the night, the moon, out of sight, until our job is done.

Our mission isn't done, until we've had some fun, no second chance exists,

Each special adjective, used with every narrative, all our minds will persist.

Definitions in a vast array, with the words, do play, are part of our intention,

When our lines go astray, the sun brightens up our day, is no new invention.

Great poem, and so true. We have so many 2nd chances but with art and poetry there is only once. It is what it is and then it's done. Have a great day.
