Glass Casket

Updated on February 13, 2011

Open caskets were her eyes.

Gazing into them.

She pulled me in.

Static electric touch.

Demanding I sin.

Leaning in for a kiss.

My hands on her hips.

Darkness seeped through.

Corroding my lips.

I couldn't see truth.

The signs were all there.

From her perfect complexion.

To her radiant hair.

As my heartbeat quickened...

The poison took control.

I looked in the mirror and saw her.

My reflection smiled. As did I.

Reaching through the portal

The portal of glass.

She took my hand

Inescapable grasp.

Calling me into chaos...

Open caskets were her eyes.

Tasting her sweet evil.

Seduced by my demise.

that was... amazing. the love of a poisonous woman always leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. i've known a few people like this. not the best friends in the world, i have to say. in my mind's eye, i saw this woman, with a cold, black stare and smile that could swallow you whole. you put me in the poem with your words. that, my friend, is magic.

Ben, very powerful piece! Some of your lined just grabbed me! "Leaning in for a kiss.

      My hands on her hips.

      Darkness seeped through.

Corroding my lips." and your last two lines: "Tasting her sweet evil.

Seduced by my demise." very intense and vivid verbage, here...great job! I love your choice of pictures too!

Good! But unfortunately, it was me, not him.
