Glide Like A Bird
As I sit and gaze into the sky, I notice each and every star slowly starting to appear.
The sun has lowered, casting shadows all around. Bathing everything in a deep orange saturation .
Slowly turning into a intriguing shade of gray, the sky is so beautiful and clear.
Not even noticing before how delicate the birds seem to float around in the horizon,
So light they seem, as if having not a care in the world.
I would like to soar alongside the birds of the air,
leaving behind all unwanted anxiety and stress.
The earth is so full of anger, but the heavens hold a calm disposition.
Being so far from the calm makes me full of distress.
I like the way the trees sway along with the wind and leaves rustling across the ground,
as if God were gently running his hands over the face of the earth.
I like how I can see every single crevice of the fluffy clouds, the breeze such a sweet sound.
I enjoy the breeze on my face and the slight smell of burning bark.
As the stratosphere captivates the deep blue of the evening, my mind begins to stray,
to a land of a clouds and stars. Once again I close my eyes and wish I was care free like a dove.
Sailing through the air, catching the wind under my wings, realizing that everything is okay.
Finally I find myself in the sky, my mind wondering to that place I ever so long to be a part of.
