Global Grub!

Updated on May 5, 2014

I try to keep pace

with you

like the small hand in a clock

running after the long one,

but,

you dodge,

you keep giving me

a slip,

a slip too far indeed;

need I

feed you

to boost your energy,

from whereforth

get you that energy

ev’n b’fore being fed?!

Gallop you

like pegasus at flight

with your small legs,

my strong bones

containing my speed;

Tease me not,

my child,

have mercy

for your feeder,

for many suffer

from want of mercy!
