My Crown of Jewels
Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.
I have been blessed in so many ways. It seems that for all the "bad stuff" I have faced that God has also given me many special blessings. Today has been a day of reflecting on those blessings. Many people think that "crowns" will be given in heaven; as I take a close look at that, I have already been crowned with some beautiful jewels in that crown. Proverbs 17:6 tells me so.
I watch the smiles as they see their Paw-paw. I wish they were all right near me. Peyton is close; I visited her today. Gianna is in Chicago; i wish she were closer. Elijah lives here with me witch is wonderful! Madison is Peyton's older sister and also lives close by. She is such a sweetie pie. Jonathan, as many of you know, is in heaven. The time I did spend with "Bruiser" as I called him, was wonderful.
I am so happy with my crown of jewels and I thank God for them. They are so precious.
Scroll down and see my other blessings.
Psalm 127: 3
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.
As I watch the news and see other people's children robbing and killing. who are other people's children. I am reflecting on the children we were blessed with. They are hard workers, honest and care about others. Sure, they have had an issue or two, but doesn't everyone? Overall, God has blessed me with three wonderful children. Drug abusers
He has also blessed both myself and my sons with wonderful Mother's to my Grandchildren. I love Amy and Jessica very much.
Ephesians 5: 31
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
I am reflecting on the beautiful wife God blessed me with. Jonda was everything for me. She was the one who kept this frog in check. She bore three great kids for me. On January 9th of this year, we would have been wed 30 years. How many can say that these days?
Jonda is passed on now and is with Jonathan and Jesus and others who have gone on. I miss her dearly. Jonda's words echo in my brain: " When one of us dies, the other must pick up the slack." I promised my love and I will be the best Grandfather and Father I can be.
Yes, I have been very blessed. How can I not thank God? Take a moment and reflect on your blessings. No matter what, you have blessings, just look; they are there!
I must also mention all the people that God has put in my life. Many people have been very caring and helpful. I do have a blessing of some good friends too.
I was blessed to find a great church-Morningstar church in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri.
So for all the bad stuff there has been good stuff too and I will try to reflect on that. Thank you Father God!
