The Goddess

Updated on February 25, 2012

The goddess watches and waits

Looking down below

Walking across the land

Love swells from her eyes

Soles amongst the clouds

Radiating the sun's beauty

Transcending beyond infinity

Finesse like no other

Blonde curls fall down below

She smiles and sees many stories

Some of love

Some of hate

Some of wealth

Some of poverty

Watching their lessons unfold

Bliss of purity

Un shattered beliefs

A unified prism

That exchanges and flows

A rainbow of colors

Tides flying high

And below

All radiating from pure white light

Reflecting sheen all around

She sees so much

Dwelling within her

Her breath marks the snow

And kisses the sunlight

As she dances across the sky

She longs for peace to follow

Tom no this is not a poem about me! That would be so egotistical. LOL. It was just something I thought up. Thanks for the compliment though. :) Happy St. Patrick;s Day to you!

      C21,

Another nifty lil poemetry here for sure. So this is a poem about you eh....

The goddess...well now are you saying... you are the goddess?? I dont disagree you are indeed a goddessnot just because you are equally sart and smokin hot....

Im sorry- at times my penchant for the obvious gets the better of me but as with all things- merely protect myself in the unassailable sheild of truth...

and with that I bid thee good night and adeiu

Hi Caroline, a great poem! Well there surely is so much to be seen from up there. Our world is like a big stage where we all play our own part. Just as there is lots of love and happiness in this world, there are many tears and a lot of pain and sadness too. We all long for 'peace to follow'. Voted up and awesome.

Beautiful work, Caroline, as always. I read this when it first arrived too, but knew I wanted to read it again. Very moving poetry.

I like the owl too, signifying great knowledge about life and the world.

Caroline, A truly beautiful portrait of the Goddess.

I especially love this view of the universe as seen by the Goddess and as the universe is meant to be:

      "A unified prism

      That exchanges and flows

      A rainbow of colors"

      And then the ending lines:

      "Her breath marks the snow

      And kisses the sunlight

As she dances across the sky

She longs for peace to follow"

This poem exudes compassion, peace, and serenity. Another one of my all-time favourites from you!

      Kind regards, Stessily

Awesome Caroline! I loved the contrast between the Goddess serenity and the actions she is overseeing. Up and Beautiful!

Hi Carolyn; Very nice. I have to wonder what a higher being looking down on us would think of this mess. I like the phrases and metaphors you use.

      Good job,

      Rob

Powerful words. A Goddess watching the world and seeing everything happening below...some good and some bad. She has a world of her own to enjoy, but is that enough for her? Very enjoyable poem!
