Good Morning And Good Day

Updated on November 12, 2015

Just For Starters

We have a great opportunity before us

A new day with so much to offer

Many people live life unconsciously

As if they are on a tread mill

Repeating the same steps over over

Little change from the ones before

Soon getting tired

Even though exercise is good and healthy

Boredom takes over and our mind wants to do many things

Instead of being excited and thrilled

That our body is capable of such athletic prowness

Soon we may exercise less often or not at all

Our body suffers and health wanes

What once was a good feeling and a great way to better health

Is now a feeling that is discouraged and a subject that is avoided

All it takes is a new point of reference

Every day we can do so many things

We can help our friends and family

Exercise for better health and wellness

Relax and find thousands of ways to occupy or time

Watching a million movies or endless hours of t.v.

Go on the Internet and are options our limitless

Go to the library and read on any subject

Go to work and earn money

To afford paying for our necessities as well as luxuries

If we look at prisons across the world

They are filled with people that had the same choices before them

Instead they made bad decisions and followed by worse action

If only they knew how severe the consequences would be

Ruining their life and hurting others

Would they go to the gym ?

Hop on the tread mill and walk or run

Knowing it is really a beautiful way to start our day

Keeping us busy

Giving us time to think

Making the right decision at the right time

Decides our fate

Now as the sun shines to start our morning

May you also rise to the occasion

Finding all the things that make life beautiful

Leaving all the bad choices behind

Like an old pair of worn out sneakers

That hurt your feet and do more harm than good

Don't look back

Look forward to all your dreams and potential

That will guide you

To the life you can always live

Gypsy Rose Lee So many things happen so fast. It is important to keep grounded. I turn to walks and my writing to keep me balanced. Thank you for reading and sharing.

Life was meant for living and for enjoying. After some time when it seems there is nothing more than my house and garden my hubby and I go to market and all the sights and sounds instantly revive me and put me back into the land of the living.

Sparklea I always love to hear from you. You are always on my mind. I loved your Christmas story. I have a few of my own stories I have to write and share. There are so many ways to enjoy life. It is up to us to find them and share them with the world. I am sad by all the negativity in the world. So many times I turn inward and soul search and dig deep enjoying my inner peace if I can not see it in the world around me. That keeps me grounded. Thank you for your wonderful comment and I hope we may share more hubs real soon. Wishing you and your family a wonderful day.

Dream on: you made so many terrific points in this hub. It IS all about choice in how we live the gift of today...and today is definitely a gift. Mornings are the best ever...a great steaming cup of coffee, my diary, journal and book to read for starters. Our four cats take over...they think each day is about THEM...and I do confess we do give them lots of love and attention.

You make a good point about how going to prison because of bad choices can truly alter and ruin one's life.

When I was in the hospital for ten days back in 2012 it was like a prison. Never was I so glad to get in the car with my husband and return to the land of the living...just riding up the streets and seeing LIFE in nature and people! It was Christmas eve, and, as weak as I was, my husband bundled me up, and he took me for a ride to see the Christmas lights while we played Christmas music in the car. The best blessed Christmas EVER!

God bless and thanks for sharing this very profound, informative hub.

      Sparklea :)
