Good Versus Evil (a poem of inspiration and hope)

Updated on April 19, 2015
Our life search is in God's hands, as he directs us and we to follow him...
Our life search is in God's hands, as he directs us and we to follow him...
If we dwell in hopelessness...our life will seem hopeless...
If we dwell in hopelessness...our life will seem hopeless...
No matter how bleak...there is hope in the end...if we but seek it...
No matter how bleak...there is hope in the end...if we but seek it...
in every darkest night a brighter light awaits us in the dawning...
in every darkest night a brighter light awaits us in the dawning...
Majestic morning lights...
Majestic morning lights...

Amazing, exquisite, so lovely and stunning,

The story of our lives, forever to be running.

The coarse, the paltry, that so poor, the crude,

The seamy side of life, forever to be brewed.

The stunning, radiant, angelic, so breathtaking,

So much more to observe and to live every day.

The ugly, grotesque, the hideous, that unrefined,

Not a happenstance to be, but has to be so dinned.

The captivating, enchanted, delightful, and the divine,

A meaningful part of our very existence, not hard to find.

The repulsive, the malignant, the irrational, the deplored,

Sought after by those who seek, and to find a just reward.

The beautiful, magnificent, the marvelous, is ours to seek,

Leave behind a life poorly designed, the bright, not the bleak.

Our search, by our own hand, helps to create a life, so grand,

The positives, never are negatives, this to help us understand.

Breathtaking, in our relief...
Breathtaking, in our relief...

Great poetry. I have not rhymed for a while, so perhaps I should do one soon.

A true-to-life presentation done with exquisite poetry. Thanks my friend.

Yin and yang. Good and bad. They are all there for the taking. It's up to us to decide which to grasp. Beautiful whonu!

My latest novel centers on the question of good vs evil...I seem to be fascinated by it. :) Beautiful thoughts here, whonu

It goes to show that nothing is perfect, but we can sure learn from it. You are a wonderful owner's manual of life...

I feel obligated to share the Alpha and the Omega in my work...I was a member of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity while in college. It has resonated with me over the years and I include its fond message of hope in my writings. whonu(Dave)
