Good-bye Granny

This sadness is hard to swallow...
My heart can only take so much...
Why do I miss you...?
Why do I yearn for your touch..?
I know you’re in a better place...
One with no hurt,
Or pain,
The sadness of losing you running deep through my veins...
I write to pass the time...
Hoping that it will fly by quickly...
With you is where I want to be...
Please Grandma... don't leave me!
I hear my minds voice,
Echoing in my head...
Over, and over again...
I tell myself that you’re dead...
Still alive in heaven,
I can have a peace of mind...
Calmly letting you go,
But keeping our memories alive!
I will cherish you Granny,
Forever until my days...
I will miss you so much,
I will never let you float away...
With you is where my heart will stay...
It's easier for me this way...

I don't yet know what its like to lose a loved one and i can only imagine the pain. Keeping memories alive in your mind is the best way to keep someone alive. Your lucky to have someone that loved you so much and know that a piece of her will always be with you :)
We sang folk songs of various ethnicity-especially Canadian, American, Irish, Scottish, and English. We generally sang at retiremrent homes and nursing homes.
My grandmother will likely die at the age of 93 before her birthday in November. I was named after her, and she Mom and I used to perform together as The Three Generations.
welcome to my hub
I remember when my grandpa died, it's tough :( I'm so sorry for your loss.
