Thanks for the memories.

Thanks to every Hubber who has added a comment to one or more of my 895 Hubs, all the nearly 8,000 of them,, or stopped by one or more of the 54,000 times. Now it's time for me to concentrate on freelancing sales.

When we post our Hubs on HubPages, we are hurting the chances to sell them to outside publishers who want them to be offered unpublished.

Writing great pieces as Hubs may make you feel good, and it certainly has for me..

Getting publisher's checks in the mail will make you feel even better, just as book sales will.

HubPages is a great place to make new friends who share your interests, and to hone your skills.

Getting a literary agent, and marketing my own quality materials is the end goal I believe is worth striving for.

Don't get me wrong. HubPages has much to appreciate and serves its Hubbers well as a social platform and training ground.

I will still be exploring the Hubs of those Hubbers who remain of the 829 I follow, but after posting my heart out on here in nearly 900 Hubs (790 of which are currently active), I am focusing on contributing where it appears my efforts can be read more widely and for other rewards I am now focusing on.

Thanks for the difference you have made by your comments and suggestions, your sharing and your ongoing friendship.

I am still as near as your keyboard and phone.

Nine hundred hubs? What an amazing accomplishment. I doubt I will reach even one-half that amount before the good Lord takes me home. We will miss hearing from you, but I am pleased that you are able to take your talent "to the next level." Best of luck to you.

Carb Diva - My remaining repository can provide plenty of reading to anyone who cares to check in there in the future. I am not leaving HP, but I am focusing my day-to-day attentions where I believe they will be more productive for me personally

Thanks for your good wishes. I wish you all the best, too.

Ericdierker - I suspect there is a point called "Success" at which skill and luck intersect. I am hoping that this is that point for me.

You will be missed Perspycacious. I understand your point view. Hubpages is a great place to grow and improve but a serious writer, who expects to make a living, cannot be afraid to move on. Here's to much success.

You will be missed, although I've been relatively inactive on HP for awhile. I wish you the very best in your focus elsewhere.

No Demas??? How can that be. It won't be the same, however I can appreciate that the next step is to be published where you can get more recognition.....and the money doesn't hurt either. HubPages is primarily a springboard for bigger things. Naturally, I wish you all the best!

Dana Tate -Each time I posted something here for what I knew would be a few faithful followers to read, I enjoyed sharing it with them. At the same time, I thought, "This is good enough to sell." HP didn't always agree with me, and many times a low HP score seemed discouraging. I got over that when I realized that part of the HP score is determined by how many Hubbers actually read it, and perhaps how many took the time to comment. Later HP did away with Hubber scoring with terms such as Funny, etc. That reduced some of the writing incentive for me in terms of publishing on HP. I began taking my outside writing more seriously and finally reached the point I am at today. Now HP is a hobby, at a time when my freelancing has become more than that. I will still respond to future comments, appreciate the occasional email via HP, and enjoy reading and commenting on other Hubbers' Hubs who have something to say and share, but my focus and efforts are elsewhere.

Nellieanna - Best wishes are always welcomed. I have many Hubs I have bookmarked for tips on the journey forward. I have been well rewarded from my stay here, as have others, including by some of your own Hubs. Thanks.

savvydating - Our connection is not broken, you know. It's just more meaningful and rewarding, and more direct as it is maintained. I appreciate your "natural" best wishes, and say, "Likewise."

That's so good of you to let us know! You will be missed, but I wish you all the best, God bless, and hope that you go well in your endeavours. It's also why I'm not commenting so much these days, there just isn't the time.

FlourishAnyway - Big hugs returned! Can you feel them at your end? I haven't gone anywhere, but my daily presence in writing here will have to rest until my other goals are achieved more fully. If you don't reach me this way, send me an email when you have the time. Later this month watch Amazon and ebooks to see how I am doing.

BlossomSB - It would appear that others are not commenting so much these days, at least not many of those who have been here the longest. Before I firmed up my decision, I took a look at those who had commented most frequently in the past and found that two HP comments occurred over and over, namely "No recent activity" and the comment that they were no longer participating on HP.

I am still here, and will still be active in commenting. I will because those who write and share deserve to have our comments and deserved praise. That's how this changing system is supposed to work for them, and for us.

MsDora - In keeping with my reply to BlossomSB, there is a reason you are a Level 7 Commentator. You are the fine example of those participants in this system who not only publish, but also take the time to comment meaningfully the thoughts on what they routinely take the time to read.

I shall miss you regular missives, and I can only hope that my future readers here and elsewhere may be similarly moved to provide such feedback and encouragement. God bless you, as I know He does.

Dear Shyron - Four year habits are hard to break. I suspect I will be here every day, but not to put up new Hubs when I already have so many (790 are active) that few Hubbers (even "Followers"!) have ever read or commented on.

I go elsewhere....with your blessings. Thanks.
