Growing in consciousness

All human beings are receptacles of thoughts

Consciousness.

We are all building a home in our consciousness by using ideas that come to us as we live our lives from childhood and continuing through adulthood. The ideas that we use may be ideas of love, honestly and wisdom or they may be ideas of hate, fear, greed and so on. We do not realize that we are building this home but the beauty or ugliness of it will depend upon the building blocks we use.

When we meet people do we look at them as receptacles of thought, or do we see them as physicality of different shapes form and color?

Many people see only physicality, so they come to a conclusion of the person’s identity based on what they see. Yet we know for a fact that the identity of anyone is based on the numerous thoughts that they have accumulated through the years. You can not look at the form of someone and know who they are. The only way to know a person is through their conveying to you the many ideas that comprise their identity. Many of you think that you don’t know me because you have never see me or talk to me in person and yet you know me more than you know.

I have been traveling for some years now. I have traveled oceans of water to come to a place which I thought the human thinking can be elevated to a higher level. They have been times when I thought I was close to witness it, and at the end of my journey, I realized that I was mistaken. The elevation of the human thinking which I had hope for, was only a figment of my imagination, for that high level thinking can only exist deep within consciousness.

With every stroke of the alphabet, I search through cyberspace, looking for someone whose face I don’t know, but whose mind has the thought I seek. As I navigate through cyberspace, I tried to click on the thought that I am seeking, but all that I perceive is mental distortion. As hard as I tried I got nothing. So I elevate my thought hoping to meet the others on a higher level, but to my disadvantage, I fail. Then I realized maybe I’m not going high enough. So I raise my thought another notch higher, and there it was, waiting to welcome me. It knew if I tried hard enough, I would be able to elevate myself and that we would finally meet and be able to communicate beyond the cognizance of any visionary, on a lower level.

      Hi! Tony

I couldn't agree more with you.  We need to keep trying because through trying we're expanding our minds into unpredictable posibilities.

Great Hub and wonderful thoughts. The striving is the main thing - not to get too complacent about where one is at any moment.

I'm personally not sure that we will ever "arrive" but I know that we have to keep looking, keep striving, keep trying to grasp that star that stays ever out of reach, "else what's a heaven for?"

      Love and peace

      Tony

goldentoad thanks for your comment it is greatly appreciated. And princess nice to see you again ...thanks for your comments, hopefully you grow to become conscious of what you know nothing about. Please don't take this the wrong way for we all need to be conscious of what we know nothing about.

Hey! St. James here this    .......Whereas feelings and striving can sometime be contradictory, true knowledge isn’t.  One who does not fallow the path of what he believes to be true knowledge, is striving to receive compensation for having disobeyed to fallow that path.

I am sure you are going higher and higher in thought receptions/perceptions. We all are undertaking this journey and hopefully each of us will arrive at the destination within this life time. Thumbs up for a great thought provoking hub.

"I must try, however, as best I can, although I am very conscious of the fact that our feelings and strivings are often contradictory and obscure and that they cannot be expressed in easy and simple formulas." ~Albert Einstein

I completely agree with your Hub...Thanks for a great post.
