Heavenly Father (Poem)

Updated on June 15, 2014

A Prayer to the "Heavenly Father" from my Biological Father

Heavenly Father,

I fall down on my knees and pray

Asking You to guide me,

Through each and every day

Heavenly Father, show me the way,

I need You to stand by my side,

I need Your sturdy hand

To be my guide,

I need You in everything I do

That is the only way,

I can make it through

I need You dear Lord,

When I am tempted to do

Things that are wrong,

I need You, Heavenly Father!

To help me along.

      I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, but that was amazing that he managed to see his wonderful work in print.Mine was sixty-six when he decided to depart, but eighty-eight is indeed a fine innings, and I reckon that a lot of men would be grateful to reach such a grandiose age.

      You're very welcome;

      Love, and best wishes to you;

      Yours Sincerely,

      My Dad got sick in 2012, but recovered in time to see his poems in print. He passed away in January 2013 at the age of 88. I will miss him the rest of my journey here on earth. My memories of him will have to serve me. You are so very cordial. Thanks for the hubachat.

      What a fine Father you have been blessed with! I can see where his magnanimous influence has been rightfully placed, and can infer from this that you are such a fine woman for publishing, and sharing this mabelhenry - moving indeed.

      Yours Sincerely,

      What a great way to remember your dad on Father's Day. He wrote something I have thought to myself many times.
