Haiku - New Love

Updated on March 21, 2012

New Love

Dr. Darryl Winer

Blossoms from within

Gentle life’s light to be shared

Colors welling up

Inside a frenzy

Readying for the future

Outside a wry smile

A heart's warm answer

The echoing beat calls forth

A fountain of sparks

Spew forth in feelings and sounds

Joy to mind and heart

Lips, hungry, warm and supple

Perfect conductors

Beautiful frothing

Everything singing inside

No words on the tongue

Two hearts reaching out

A silent understanding

Speechless in yearning

Adrift with anguish

Souls stretch out beyond themselves

Seeking completion

Explosive colors

The mind is aflame with lust

Sense on ragged edge

Wanting without end

A gnawing hunger within

Unrequited love

I keep returning to these haiku again and again, I should just print it out and stick to the wall. Gorgeous!

Very beautiful poem. Very strong imagery, so full of emotion. I really enjoyed it.
