Haiku Poem that sums up my evening

Updated on April 10, 2012

Step away it’s mine

No one need get hurt today

Last slice of peach pie…

Hmmm....

Wow, Haiku poems are very short! It seems like all the time I sweated over this hub in no way offsets the calories I consumed by eating the slice of pie. So I ask myself, "Was it worth it?" Was it worth eating the pie and was it worth writing the Haiku. The answer comes back with a resounding "YES!" on both counts.

Yummy! Clever, clever, clever - enjoyed every bite (I mean bit) of it! Voted up. Don't you just hate it when you're brought a piece of pie at a restaurant and it is really more of a sliver than a piece, and the person with whom you are with says, "I don't want any," and then that person eats most of your piece of pie!!! I mean, come on . . . Faith Reaper

@ Deborah Brooks - delicious and nutritious and all mine!

@ Faith Reaper - the scenario you outlined is tantamount to a declaration of war. Glad you enjoyed your "bite" or Haiku

I like your photo and haiku poem. One thing I do like about poem hubs is to know how the poet got the inspiration to write. I don't know how that would work in a haiku poem. Anyway, love it and wish I had done more with poetry. You have talent.

@brakel2 - The inspiration was my wife's excellent peach pie which I had no intention of sharing, nor will I ever...with anybody...never! Lol!
