The Hunter Waits

Couched, cloaked in darkness

Pulsating malevolence

Hunter stalks his pray

The Brook

Water kisses stone

Perfect heavenly marriage

Relaxes the mind.

The bubbling brook talks

Babbling on incessantly

Pebbles worn away

A Summer Meadow

Multicolored sea

Reaching out to trap the sun

Summer meadow waves

I must admit I love Summer, so many happy childhood memories. In the UK when the sun comes out, it's so amazing, people actually smiles at perfect stranger in the street, incredible. :)

Such a burst of emotional colors, I enjoyed it very much, Jo. I like your expressions of Summer, they are so vivid and practically 'touchable' =)

Gosh! I'll take my words back, Jo! The Italians found their weak spots- all of 'em! Shocking performance from the tournament's favorites, really. I think the coach Leow shouldn't have forced a new game play in the team in the quarterfinals :(

Take care...I'm sorry for taking up space here!

Yes, It would be an exciting match if Italy won but the Germans play like a machine- unstoppable - no feelings- no fear. Yesterday was glum, I tucked away my Portugal banner for the next tournament :(

      Anyway, All the best!

These were written down with every word placed to perfection. "The Brook" has become one of my favorites. Jamie

Hi Voronwe, thank you for stopping by, always nice to see you.

Sorry you've lost you nature sound recording, they can be very relaxing to listen to.

I guess you're looking forward to the footie later on, I'm not really a fan but my old man put some money on Italy to win so I'm showing a bit of solidarity, we're more into rugby.

I hope you're enjoying the sunshine before the flood return. All my best

Cool haiku! "The Brook" is very beautiful...the eye capturing your own inherent sight. Always makes a lovely read. Thank you!

Many years ago, somebody presented me with a set of audio cassettes - a compilation of Nature's sounds and music (cannot recall who gave it or the name of the music group) but little "monstrous" me overrode most of the tapes with favorite radio shows and songs. I was reminded of this just now for the first time. It was a great gift...I regret it now.

      Have a nice evening!
