Haiku Verse Story - A Brief Connection

Updated on November 26, 2015

story in verses

forgive me haiku purists

i've been creative

i really like you

i’m so glad she responded

that she liked me too

emotions rising

it is happening again

can i handle it

feeling safe with you

is this what i’m looking for

i guess time will tell

don’t want to hide it

plain as the nose on your face

i’m falling for you

the easiest thing

talking to you on the phone

always makes me smile

blue skies up above

and within i feel them too

i’m thinking of you

wow didn’t last long

it ended before the start

mixed feelings for you

not serving myself

seen through eyes of sadness

need to change my view

Russ... Simply beautiful and writ with such honesty of feeling...Love can be quite fickle and harsh, but endings can also mean new beginnings, new relationships, and exciting futures... Thank you for sharing your talent with us...Larry

Hi Tony, thanks, sadness after a while of years takes perspective amongst all the truly wonderful things in life. Go well my friend. Russ

Russ - these were just great! Loved it that you were "creative" with the haiku! The sadness, or perhaps, wistfulness, at the end is a definite contrast with the jaunty hopes of the beginning. Hope you aren't really feeling too sad!

      Love and peace

      Tony
