Haiku for spring.

Daffodils blooming

Yellow heads on straight green stems

Remind me of Wales.

Pink blossom on trees

Bare branches sprouts of hope form

Brown, turning to green.

Weather patterns change

Golden sun light sets later

Frostless dawns greet us.

Winter receded

Spring forward life abundant

The cycle begins.

Whether old or young

Lovers, families, children

New memories born.

Hi Alexander Mark. I just stay with the 5/7/5 format and because I am using western language the technique is not technically haiku but I am glad you like what I wrote. Thanks.

I don't understand how to write a haiku, but I can sense yours is a little different - it is more expressive while maintaining the shorter lines and briefer words that I associate with haikus. It is uplifting!

      Beautiful Spring haiku.

I'm looking out my window and see the green starting to sprout up. My daffodils are always late :(
