Haiku to the Wild

Updated on December 10, 2012

Beautiful wildlife,

A deer runs across the hill.

Wild ducks fly their routes,

All to give us, such a thrill.

A wise owl watches,

a wild cat chases a frog.

All such precious gifts,

For us, our spirits to lift.

A thing of beauty,

To be a joy, for all time.

This, ours to preserve,

To see and hear them, sublime.

Very lovely haiku poetry once again with your stunning art. Thanks again for sharing your gifts with us here.

That first haiku reminds me of when my son was young and early one morning sitting on our front porch and he was so very thrilled to see the wild ducks flying overhead in their pattern. He came running into the house so excited to tell me and pulling my hand to hurry outside.

Love the wild animals theme here . . . yes, sublime

      Voted up+++ and sharing

God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Ah, you write about wildlife like no other. You take me there, and the experience is always exhilarating. Truth to tell, I say my most heartfelt prayers in the wilderness.

Thanks for sharing this superb haiku. Merry Christmas!

How long may the wild remain such, in this expanding ever world?

Beautiful thoughts on othe wild. I saw an alligator the other day by the lake, but I have a hard time finding it beautiful. Still, "All creatures great and small the Lord God made them all"! Blessings.
