Halloween Candy Poem

Updated on October 3, 2013

Candy Crush

It’s Halloween and I've gorged again
Eating as much as several men
Sickened last year, didn't learn then
After I start I can’t say when

Now what’s left is scattered about
Stomach’s gone from thin to stout
Will take months to work this out
I’ll regret it tomorrow without a doubt

Candy corn, bars and lollipops
Tasted so good I couldn't stop
Ate so much my belly might pop
Exhausted on the couch I flop

I have to admit with some dismay
That Haloween’s still a month away
Adding shame to this display
I have to buy more later today

What is your favorite Halloween candy?

Wait was that a cat in your picture or one of my kids - I can't tell, they have the same after Halloween candy hang-over look . . .

Too cute for words. The pic you used was blessedly intertwined with the poem itself. Thank you for a very enjoyable reading. Voted up and funny.

Oh, how funny! And I LOVE the cat photo! That's just so perfect, and tooooo cuuuuute!

I know I always tended to be sure and buy "handout candy" that I liked myself, so that when/if there were leftovers, I wouldn't be stuck with something I didn't like. LOL At least, it sounded like a good excuse.

      Voted up and funny.
