Happy Birthday to our Son!

Updated on October 26, 2014

Happy Birthday to our Son!

It is hard to believe you are a grown man.

We remember the day you were born.

This day was so grand.

You were so tiny,

a mere six pounds.

With big brown eyes

and a bald head

perfectly round.

Your father and I were in awe

of what we created.

A beautiful baby boy,

we were so elated.

I remembered what your dad said,

when he seen you for the first time.

"He looks like a little rat"

With your big brown eyes.

A tiny little baby,

who never cried.

Now you turn thirty,

with a family of your own.

Following your fantasy football

on your I-phone.

You've always been a ham,

making people laugh.

From when you were a child,

and now a grown man.

You seem to handle life

in a positive way.

Working hard to support your family,

earning your weekly pay.

Your love for Janey and the kids,

is seen on your face.

You're a good man.

God keeps you in his grace.

So Happy Birthday our son!

You've become a wonderful man.

We love you so.

We're your biggest fans.

Love you,

Mom and Dad

OMG! This one hit home. My oldest will turn 30 in May. Thank you for this beautiful poem and tribute. The first time I ever saw a man cry was when my son's father witnessed the birth of our first son. V+++

Thanks lisa for sharing wonderful emotions. Its hard to replicate heart's feelings, but we know being a mother your heart pours out and its difficult for us to understand exactly. The words here are quite precious. May God bless your children and make them comfort of your eyes.

I've noticed that almost all good sons and good daughters were raised by good parents. Could there be a connection?

      Excellent work and voted up.
