Happy Soul's Day, a Soulful Tribute to Pamela Oglesby
Wisdom from Sri Chinmoy
The dictionary houses thousands and millions of words, but without the least possible hesitation, I wish to say that the word 'mother' remains unparalleled in terms of sweetness, love, concern, intimacy, closeness and oneness. There is no other word as significant as 'mother.'
Ode to Pamela Oglesby
The first thing I see is your smile,
That radiant glow, as if kissed by the sun-god
Lord Surya himself. Your eyes, gazing into my soul,
Laughing with the moonlight – a pearl of wisdom
Hidden beneath its pure concern and endless patience,
For your loved ones; for friends you adore.
Your interests are wide and varied, but your contribution
In the field of medicine and science, has served others no end.
I see you, a beacon of light, unfurling your inner petals
Like lotus flowers, offering your wafts to many, in this vast
Diaspora of human souls. Singing with joy, your sweet Heart
Pulses to the inner music, stringing its own chords and dancing with Love.
_Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 13th February, 2020
Wisdom of Sri Chinmoy
"The Mother is affection, the mother is love, the mother is concern, the mother is closeness, the mother is inseparable oneness, with the child. In the life of the mother, the child is undoubtedly the dearest living being. In the heart of the child, the same experience must always loom large -- the mother is all.
To the child, the mother is sweet, sweeter, sweetest. To the mother, the child is sweeter than the sweetest..."
"Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." 1John:4:10
About Pamela, (A Glimpse)
When I look at Pamela’s photograph, the first thing I see is her enchanting smile. It is like she’s pulled the moon down and its brilliant rays, just radiates from her beautiful face.
A woman of many talents, she shows interest in a wide variety of hobbies to include research, travel and writing. She excels at medical Hubs, due in part to her background of management in nursing.
Pamela covers such topics like the brain, heart, thyroid, auto-immune conditions and much more. She learned a lot through her own experiences with lupus and social interactions.
Pamela is a family orientated mother, and a very filial daughter. She has three sons, one daughter and four grandchildren. She and her husband take care of her 94-year-old mother in the family home.
In her spare time, Pamela enjoys gardening, making stained glass art and is active in several genealogy organizations. She describes herself as a joyful Christian and this is very easy to pick-up from the cheerfulness and beauty on her cheeks and face.
Pamela has been writing on Hub pages for 10 years and is a significant friend of the Hub pages community network.
Wisdom from the Master
"In a mother's love we see divinity expressing itself in various significant ways. The first thing we notice in a mother's love is purest concern, and the second thing we notice is endless patience." _ Sri Chinmoy
