Her lap is full with her, “dead bled sons”

And her hands are tired; of burying them

In day and night;

In her heart’s graveyard;

Mourning and lamenting

Over the songs of freedom.

Blood, blood and blood

Her heart bursts

But she is calling her

Sons and daughters,

Awake, awake, awake

Not to surrender to evil

Teaching them

The lessons of sacrifice,

Sovereignty and dignity

To save pak land

Keep their hopes alive.

      Indeed beautiful and so true. Bloodshed was the bane of independence. Happy Independence Day Asma.
