Hard Times Upon Us

If economics

is any barometer,

then we have

hit the skids...

when the only light

that I can see

is to auction off

the kids

and have the dog

for dinner

in a thin

but zesty sauce...

and hold

a giant rummage sale

to regain

our capital loss!

You can auction off the kids and sell the Statue of Liberty, and no one will care, but the animal rights folks will have you for lunch if you have the dog for dinner!

I, however, like it! Up and funny!

Oh, mckbird, you've done it again! Problem for me is both my kids are grown so would probably lock me up, and, believe me, the dog's too tough! Isn't this great fun hub, though?!

haha nice...auction off the kids and have the dog for dinner. quite hilarious but quite sad that we could ever get to a point that that would even be an option.

Bush kept you all in fear by repeatedly telling you of all the dangers you faced from an enemy that was ready to pounce at any minute. This administration has to clean up the mess created by that fear monger who has created the poverty mentality you are now experiencing. You have found a way to show people that it is ok to laugh because it is only by changing the mindset that you change your reality. You are a genius. Well done.

Glad to see that Humor has found that little crack and sneaked in. Comedic relief was the main stay of the early radio shows, motion pictures (Movies) and the early days of television.

When times are tough people need to have a change to refresh their outlook and shake off all this doom and gloom scenario. Perhaps a good dose of laughter is what the whole world needs at this time.

Recession, Depression, Gloom and Doom are the words that are really robbing us of our fundamental rights because they instill a mindset of helplessness , hopelessness and despair. We are entitled to the pursuit of Happiness and pieces like this are a start in the right direction.

      Thanks for sharing No-Clue!

Regards Mike (Aka Professor M!) ;D
