Have Strength during Difficult Times

I woke up one morning feeling angry and sorry for myself. Life has never been as tough as it is right now, and many circumstances have me scared and edgy. Sometimes, waiting for a problem to be over can be nerve-wracking because I like to be in control of everything in my life. It is difficult to trust God sometimes and have that faith. Sometimes, life just gets in the way. It is difficult for me, sometimes, to combat depression, so I try to have faith in God, that He will take care of me.
I took a moment to pray that morning, and it helped me feel much better. I do not write poetry very often, but this morning, I decided to "power write" for 10 minutes (therapeutic technique I use when I am stressed out). This is what I came up with.
Wipe them away, don't let them fall
They're not the answer to it all.
Look up to the sun, see how it shines.
Remember that God, the Creator's divine.
Think of the past, then let it all go.
Our Savior's behind us more than we know.
Run to the future and reach for the light.
God's love will endure through the darkness of night.
Embrace what God gave you as long as you can.
And don't waste your time on the lies of a man.
You are special and good, despite what they say.
So, don't let those nay-sayers stand in your way.
There Is Hope...
Keep Your Chin Up
I know, it can be easier said than done, but keep your chin up. Nothing in this world is permanent, and whatever situation is happening in your life, it will pass eventually. Keep it real and be honest with yourself because dodging reality only complicates the situation more. If you are feeling alone, like you have no one to turn to, remember that God is always there to listen. If you are feeling this way, you are where you need to be because God is wanting you to understand that when you have no one, He is all you need and He will supply the rest of your needs.
