Have You Ever Seen A Flying Cat ?

Updated on August 22, 2013

I Have And It Was Just A Minute Ago

I was in the office writing a comment on a beautiful hub

Then I heard a soft plop on the kitcen floor

So I got up out of my comfortable seat

Walked in the kitchen and didn't expect to see

A flying cat coming right for me

Too late to duck and there is only one thing I could do

What the ......!

My cat decided to jump off the counter and leaped in mid air

I was at the wrong place at the wrong time

My cats paws almost cleared me

I would of been left without a scratch

Until I felt a sharp claw graze my chin

She landed and perceeded on the hunt

I stood shocked and stunned

Thinking what just happened here

As I felt the the blood trickling down

She got me good

I would of yelled at her

But first I had to stop the bleeding

Then as I grabbed a face cloth

I watched her follow her prey

She ran and jumped again

This time a good three feet off the floor

Now I still seen nothing

The time is twelve thirty three at night

So I had to see what she was chasing

I flipped on every light in every room

Still nothing

Then as I left the bathroom

I felt a bug hit me in the cheek

Now this is really crazy

I get hit twice in one night

First by my cat now by a flying bug

Now I was mad so I joined in the chase

Looking in every room

Behind the curtain in the bathroom

Up in each window

Along the ceiling across the walls

I see the fly up near the top of the kitchen cabnets

By the time I got a chair

It took flight again

Now I praised my cat

Go gettem Charlette

Find the bug

After a fifteen minute search

My cat lost interest and I know by myself I didn't have a chance

So I went back to my computer and began to type

I heard Charlettes paws dance and plop at different spots

I got up from my chair to take a look

There was my cat with the fly by her paw

It was stunned and I am surprised not eaten

I reacted quickly just incase the fly had any life left

So here in my hand I hold the fly my cat caught tonight

I went in the cabnet and gave her a few cat treats

She was excited as she ate them within seconds

I realized she meant well and my cut will heal

Now I can go back to sleep

Knowing our home is bug free once again

As I rubbed my cat on the head

You wasted no time and caught the bad guy

Time for bed for you and me both

Another hub I am the writer and you are the star

What a good little bug catcher you certainly are

Our first cat loved flies big fat ones and crunched them. Now Sid is not a fly cat he prefers the occasional mouse when in season.

Voted up and across. That is an adorable story, although it's too bad you got cut. In the end, the bug died.

Cats that catch mice are called mousers. Does that mean cats that catch bugs are called buggers? Haha.

Thanks for sharing this with us, and have a wonderful, bug-free weekend. Remember to watch out for your cat!

What an odyssey! I was afraid for your wounds, but finally it turned out that, perhaps, they had been worth it for Charlette to have caught the nasty ole fly!

Cats are so talented! I once saw our cat walk on water! haha! :-)
