A poem about online catfish

Updated on January 22, 2013

One urban dictionary definition of a catfish is as follows:

A catfish is someone who pretends to be someone they're not using Facebook or other social media to create false identities, particularly to pursue deceptive online romances.

Here's link to the urban dictionary definitions for catfish:

I have written a little poem about catfish:

Catfish, oh catfish, what's wrong with you?

You have a morbid fascination with making my skin crawl

Catfish, oh catfish, what's wrong with you?

You'd rather waste my time than anything in the world

Are you jealous, are you selfish are you lame?

Oh catfish, you're to blame

Oh catfish, why woudn't you show your face

Oh catfish, why do you hide behind the frame?

Oh catfish, I get it, you're lonely you're bored, you're unattractive, no one wants you

Pity on the poor little obnoxious catfish

Coz you'll never be, all the things that they are

And you'll never see the light

Because you're a bottom dweller

Oh catfish, with all your might

You can't make it in this world and you can see that I can

The more scraps the better for you

The more mocking, shocking drama, the more your pain is subdued

Oh catfish I hate to tell you, there's no winners in your game

Oh catfish you're a loser and you want to bring us down to your level

Self destructive, on the bottom, all you can do is drag things down to your level to feed
