Have you heard of an author named Peter Davidson?

Updated on May 19, 2016

A brief intro to what is going on:

The author wrote the events from his personal events and experiences and also observations. Many of which are true.

It contains situations people may face in real life and the response that they might give. It involves being politically correct and what they really believe. It is about various things from relationships to philosiphies. It includes humor, satire and more.

It was just printed recently this year with no previous copies.

The contents:

When we get to the contents it starts with 'Marriage'. Which is broken down into many categories.

Then we have 'Dating'. That is also broken into various categories.

Then there is 'Advice', 'Strategies', 'Socializing',and it goes on for a ways with them all broken down into categories.

Example of comment(s) after the chapter:

Grandpa, being politically correct: "Don't mess around with other women."

Grandpa, being brutally honest: "Sonny, your mouth will get you into a whole lot more trouble than your willy ever will."

Below are a couple of reviews by others:

I have also included reviews by others who have read the book and their ratings on the book, whom I do not know. I will leave their names out and just call them 'Reviewer #'.

Definitely "politically Incorrect," which is what made it fun and funny. Some great stories that fit almost everyone's everyday life and how a person would handle situations if they had the guts to say what was on the tip of their tongue!! I laughed a lot.

Gave it five stars.

Loved it, but that's the kind of gal I am. As the back cover blurb says, it has humor and satire and is irreverent - and on occasion is risque´. I liked the format of short stories and take only a minute or tw to read and also enjoyed the "Beyond Politically Correct" punchlines, that are quite true and honest and often very funny. There is a lot of truth in what the book says. A good laugh.

Gave it five stars.

I am not up on all of the actors - past or present - but that name does not make me think of an actor.

You can go to Amazon and get a look at one page to give you an idea what the book is like. It did not make me think of politics but then I am not big in that area.

Thank you for your comment. :-)

I haven't come across this author before. Though I do know of an actor by the same name and came looking if it was the same person, it wasn't but never mind.

From the review it makes me want to find out a little more about the book and how it relates to the present political situation as I can well imagine it's a phrase that a certain Presidential candidate will use a lot!

I think you did a great job with the review.

I do not know whether to take that as you know him or perhaps this was the book that he needed to write after all of his others. Whatever, I do take it that you liked it.

Sounds like this book was long overdue for this wide-ranged author.

He has already written many other boks before this one. And you could be correct about his current book. :-)

I have not heard of this author. I would think that his satirical book would do well in the current political climate here in the U.S.

I take it that you have purchased the book because I do not remember him saying that part.

Thank you very much Shyron, I appreciate that a lot. I was really unsure how my first book review would come out but after only reading the preview, intro, contents and one page it seems to have turned out well. :) I sure got a surprise.

Mr. Davidson asked the question: Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me, whatever happened to that simple philosophy?

Many years ago in 1993 Donald Trump defended Hillary and Bill Clinton when their political foes tried to link them to the death of Vince Foster, but now the Donald has become a political foe, he has joined the fray in trying to say that Hillary is somehow involved in Mr. Foster's death.

I am glad they showed the Donald talking out of both sides of his face.

Kevin! Wonderful for you first review. I love, love, love beyond politically correct.

Sticks and stones do break bones.

But, words can hurt you more.

I think I need to read this book

And the poem I started here

I will put into a poem

      Blessings and hugs dear Kevin

Thank you Ann. I only read one page on Amazon but that plus the reviews did sound funny to me.

Sounds like a humorous author. I'm fed up with political correctness; it hinders most people from being honest which is what we should all be.

I appreciate your comment Frank. It was my first review and I was unsure how it would turn out. I tried to do my best. It was so shoshort compared to others I have looked at.

Thank you. It is the first book review (or of any type) that I have ever done. I did it as a favor for him, I know him on LinkedIn.

I have never heard of the author, Peter Davidson. From the review, I would say that it is a funny read. With our political season going beyond limits, we need a fun satire to keep from crying. lol Great review!
