He Searches (poem)

Updated on February 13, 2016

He searches ever for some magic lost

Some flowered field which blessed another day

He wonders how such things should fade away

When splendors of such promises were crossed

-

He searches past those treasures meant to last

Those dreams which scented each new morning’s sky

He wanders with a time which went too fast

And left a heart to sigh of things gone by

-

Where is that spring which lovers used to know

The meaning of tomorrows in its flow

The answers to each season in its glow

How foolish of the wind to let it go

-

He searches others tears upon the ground

A path to end his searching was refound

Martin, when I read many of your works, I feel a surge of emotions that

take me back to a time in life where love's mysteries abounded. It lasts

only a few seconds. But, it is there, so vivid, so real I can taste it and my

      heart quickens.

      I thank you for that.

      DJ.
