He Turned To Me (poem)

Updated on February 1, 2015

He turned to me a teardrop in his eye

What has he done to share this fate with me

To bear such pain and wretchéd misery

We welcome death to come and set us free

But him it seems salvation does he see

He reaches for our answer in the sky

He holds a fate that nothing can deny

Was it for nothing that he came to die

So strange that I should pay for sins today

And bear a witness to event so true

I held my screams to listen to him pray

Within his blood I sensed a hope anew

I heard him say before I passed away

Forgive them for they know not what they do

Mhatter99...I on the other hand truly feel...THEY did know of what they did..and to this day I still feel the human race knows what they're doing..THEY just don't care...

Life is so precious..We should not have to welcome DEATH to set us free...

Your write was very thought provoking...thank you for the share...peace to you...

Those are about the truest words that you could utter. It we have no forgiveness, we have nothing.

      Wonderful, Martin! Amazingly beautiful.

How creative to give a view from one of the others crucified that day.
