Heads In The Street

Updated on February 28, 2017

Heads In The Street

There is a call going out in the neighborhoods

The notion of love has taken a back seat for hate

Let's look deep inside we have no reason to hide

Stand up for something else fall for anything

We have riots in are streets for the political cause

Falling trees whistle through the breeze

Many display tombstones for eyes

Does this all come at any big enough surprise

They hide behind the false hidden garb of compromise

Can't we see through it's twisted lies

We need to return to the basics of wholesome love

Bring back the family with dinner gathering

Throw away the texting and the cellphones

We need to peer in the darkness to touch the light

Heads in the street

A solemn reminder to civil assembly

We are all a card carrying member of the human race

Trust in a higher power to get you by

Very often it's in a substance that makes you get high

A beacon of light to a hurting world in need

A challenge to be free is a question of time

Love is the true essence of are existence

Share your voice

Let's speak out of are hears the true message of love

Hope springs a new
