Heal your enemies

Updated on August 23, 2011

Heal your enemies
do not live in hate
open your heart
and keep your faith

Please allow love
to come your way
throw negative feelings
and bitterness away

For where hate resides
one cannot find love
and that is what we
are all dreaming of

So if you wish
in this life to succeed
it truly is love
that you need to be freed

Heal your enemies
do not live in hate
open your heart
and keep your faith

      Dear Makusr,

Thank you so much for your compliment with regards to my profile picture and of course for the vote up.

And I couldn't agree with you more. One cannot love others without being loved.

      Love and hugs

      LadyFae,

First of all your profile picture mesmerizes. What a taste! Second, your poem talks of love. The best thing about doing good is that good comes to you. You can't love others without being loved. Voted up!

      Lots of Love,

      MAKUSR

I second what JayeWisdom has said. This is a powerful poem that expresses the difficult path to finding peace and love.

Thank you JayeWisdom. And indeed it is one of the most difficult things to do. But practice makes art is what my grandmother used to say, so just keep on working on it.

      Love and hugs

This is powerful advice--one of the best things one can do to find peace, yet also one of the most difficult. Lovely and profound poem....Jaye
