Getting Out of Bed

Yes Lord, I hear your voice inside, I'm so happy that you heard mine.

You always seem to know when I need you, any place and any time.

This is how God answered me:

Everyday is a new day, it's what I gave to you,

Get up and get out of bed, This is what I want you to do.

Get up my child, and put your feet on the floor, don't let him get you down anymore.

Your life is not over, everyday is a new day, and every moment is a chance. So be happy about living, put the music on and sing or dance.

Thats it my child, put a smile on your face, Take one step at a time, I will help you to leave that place.

Look at it this way, life is a gift from me to you, get up and see, what you can do.

Because I know, you have days when you feel so sad and blue.

You are not alone, I am here with you, get up and dance, now is your chance.

It doesn't make any difference if your alone, call someone on the telephone.

Don't just sit there, in that chair and rock, when you can call someone and talk.

Don't think so much it can get you down. just go get some clothes on, and out of that nightgown.

Now that is much better, you are ready I would say, go outside and see the beauty that I have created for you today.

Look at the color blue that is in the sky, look at the green that is everywhere.

There is so much beauty that I have made, and it's just for you, that I want to share.

So be happy, there is no need to cry, everyday is a new day, just like the clouds in the sky.

Don't be sad, put a smile on you'rer face, and be glad.

Look at the daisy's coming up through the lawn, so yellow and bright, like the early morning dawn.

The birds are busy flying high and low, gathering the food to feed their young to grow..

Look at them, they take no time to rest, yet, they keep busy as they build their summer nest.

Go outside now, and get a little sun, take a walk down the road, or if you feel like it, just run.

After all, you 're not old yet, you can do many things, just count your blessings, that each new day brings.

DON'T listen to that voice, that tells you otherwise, he wants you in the dark, to tell you all his lies.

He wants you sad, he wants to see you cry, I want you glad, that you are my child and alive.

DON'T listen to him, he likes to put you down, he works upon your mind, to put on your face a frown.

Why do people make it so hard, to be who they really are?

If you are bored, just take a ride in your car.

You have so many choices, life isn't what it used to be, get out of the house and see what you can see.

Take your camera, and take a picture or two, you will be surprised at what you can see and do.

Don't worry, it won't cost you anything, just get yourself out in the sunshine, and enjoy a day of spring.

Thats it my child, now get your sweater on, get out the door and have some fun.

Just pretend that everyday is a new day, and your life has just begun.

Remember, life is no walk in the park, it's whatever comes your way, and how you deal with it, day after day after day!

I am glad you liked my poem. Actually it didn't, take me but a minute or two. The Holy Spirit dictated it to me.

Thank you Perspy. All I did was put a pen in my hand. Someone else dictated it to me! I guess it is called automatic handwriting. I have quite a few others written in a folder. For some reason, I was given the gift in the early 80's.
