Heart Pulsing the Music of Love: Monday's Inspiration 14.

Updated on June 26, 2017

Quote from Manatita

"Up close, I pull at the beauty of sunrise,

To awaken my dawn;

I grasp at the dew-filled leaves;

The immaculate purity of the morn." -Manatita

Beauty and Light

A free verse sonnet

Twas in the twilight of last evening that we met;

Warming our hands with the flames of firewood,

Heart pulsing the music of Love.

She carved my name into Her Soul's fire,

With the finesse of elegant calligraphy.

I stroked my way into Her core;

I could feel it trembling, whispering, beating…

Transmitting a delicate fusion of Light and Beauty--

A raisons d'être for our supernal banquet.

I moved closer, ever so soulfully, prayerfully…

Longing to merge and become one.

Her lips travelled beyond time,

Filling my core with such grandeur,

That distance became a vanishing dream.

Light of the Heart

Quote from a Seer

“As long as your heart remains,

An ever-mounting aspiration-flame,

It makes no difference what your weaknesses are.” –Sri Chinmoy

Quote from a Yogi

Quote from a Yogi

"We cannot judge others. We do not know their heights; we do not know their depths. We do not know what is actually happening in others. It is the cosmic Will that is operating in and through each individual." -Sri Chinmoy

      I always enjoy reading your poems. I often find one or two lines especially meaningful or beautiful. In this article it's the thought of pulling at the beauty of sunrise to awaken my dawn. I love the idea.
