Heart poems: Secret Joy, Secret Pain. .
Secret Joy, Secret Pain
Like a chameleon with multiple
Facets I change personality
And In my humble domain look at it
Resting peacefully....the reality.
You can't ever know,
So now a seed of discretion
I tenderly sow.
Part of me wishes you could see the way I feel
But why should you when you brand everything as surreal?
Could I bare the moment
I revealed the truth?
When the only emotion you would feel is triumph
As I compromised my youth?
It's for this reason I simply can't
My racing emotions have slowed down to a steady pant.
I can face you now i have no reason to hide,
You see I wear it well my love I mask it with pride.
Surge of mixed feelings as I watch you daily,
You pass me without a backward glance
Moving along gaily,
But if you searched the well
Of my heart,
All you would fetch is a deep rooted love
Laced with hurt..
For this purpose it can't be expressed.
And my dignity stands as a witness.
You won't ever know, not a word from this lady...
That the secret joy bouncing on my knee.....
Is your baby.
A poem about living with a deep secret
Living with a dark, beautiful secret. . . . .
