Heart poems: Taking Back Mondays. .

Updated on April 12, 2017

Taking back Mondays

What is in a day?

Was it just yesterday that i had so much to say?

Now sitted at my desk in silence wishing the day would while away

Hardly touched coffee, juice, and doughnuts piled up on a tray

Thinking bad thoughts failing to keep the Monday blues at bay.

Look across my desk and see my workmate tentatively smile,

But my lips are glued to my teeth. . . it will take me awhile.

Glancing around my office i look for someone to piss off someone to rile. .

Ignoring the workload stacked in a heavy but neat pile,

I escape to the balcony for much needed fresh air,

And observe the activity that is taking place there. .

Determined, purpose filled faces moving about everywhere,

They know it's a Monday but they simply don't care.

Go back to my desk and start my work

Ideas smoothly flow as i nibble on a snack. .

NOW I smile as i mentally pat myself on the back

Yes its a Monday but so what? I'm back on the right track

What is in a day?

Looking for the silver lining in the dark and grey.

A poem about finding the silver lining in Mondays

The dreaded day. Hmmmm. . To call in sick or not to call in sick?

They feel it too. . .
They feel it too. . .
it gets That bad
it gets That bad
Escape to my Happy Place!!
Escape to my Happy Place!!

Gypsy used to loathe Mondays was an animal I had to tame. My bad mood would rub off everyone. Now look at it as fresh start to the week. Get pretty excited.

Voted up and awesome. Love the pictures. This made me smile. I remember hating Mondays. Now I've turned things around and I make every Monday a reason to set my goals for a new week and look forward to another weekly challenge.
