Heaven/a poem

Updated on June 13, 2012

Somewhere there’s a garden where roses always bloom, there’s a mansion on the hilltop with so many vacant rooms.

Birds sing in the distance, and she sits beside a stream, all the pain is gone, and the cancer is only a dream.

She wears a glittering gown covered with precious stones, God holds her hand, and angels walk her home.

She sees a world of sunlight, no shadows or shades of gray, no illnessess, or injuries to take her life away.

She dines on the sweetest nectar, and sleeps peacefully in her bed, there are no worries here to fill her heart with dread.

She walks through an enchanted forest, and comes out facing the sea; she is in a place that we all long to be.

Some call it heaven, but it’s what ever we imagine it to be, and I know in my heart that she will be waiting there for me.
