Heaven's Orchestra: A Collection of Musical Instrument Acrostic poems

Updated on September 16, 2015

Heaven's angels welcomes you with a musical symphony

Fine Tuning

My acrostic poems were also inspired by the passing of my grandfather in 2005, when I also wrote those angel poems in free verse. This was inspired by my Casio keyboard I had in the time, which had a selection of instruments you can play on the keyboard. Sadly, I don’t have the keyboard anymore, since I moved a few years ago. It didn’t work anymore. Some of these poems were published a decade ago. Over 100 buttons to choose an instrument was played on that keyboard, though I’ve written of acrostics, as I’ve imaged angels in Heaven playing in a band, orchestra, or symphony, at the pearly gates. Enjoy the first ten acrostic poems in this collection! More angel and sunset poems is yet to come this summer, sometime next month.

An oboe has a fascinating sound from this woodwind instrument

Oboe and Trumpet

Only deeply movements from Heaven is heard,
Breathe deeply to the sound from above,
Omnipotent God’s sermon can be heard from his word,
Every tune through the brass notes of love.

Tributes play for marching saints in Heaven,
Ring on cue with a touch of brass,
Underscoring sounds from yesterday's time,
Moves the clouds to catch the spirit,
Pitches mixed with synchronized accompaniments,
Equal measures of life and eternity,
Trumpeting triumphs of the newest angels in God’s kingdom.

Piano and Trombone

Played by angels of ebony and ivory to spread heavenly peace,
Intricate harmony and melody from invisible fingers in the air,
Angels listen to spread God's love and peace to his people,
Nature’s godsend, celestial music on high,
Orchestration from an angelic entrance.

Thoughts of Heaven and everlasting heartbeats of eternity,
Reminds all of yesteryear with a memory of brass,
Only notes purify the soul of our eternal life,
Makes all of us know we’re not alone in this world,
Bringing the angels a good mood through music,
Origin of laughter to seal tears in our core,
Nourishes life’s eternal feasts of celebration with lyrics,
Enters our hearts in purity, and seeks out faith with calm.

A banjo is a lovely string instrument for any type of music

A panflute is a classic musical instrument

Collect figurines of angels playing instruments

Banjo and Panflute

Beats and twangs with an eccentric bluegrass tune,
Angels love the sound of its acoustic music,
Now all the stars in the blue sky dance,
Just to see above or below on Earth,
Offers everlasting life into the next world.

Paradise's pitched higher instrument in the world,
Angels softly sigh to the melody as they play it,
Notes ascend to the clouds in the heavenly atmospheric sky,
Fine company to a vocal or instrumental song,
Lithe as a swan, it swims on music,
Unclean hearts renew from a hard life with of brass,
Tender harmony and melody synchronize releases calm,
Eternity from a panflute brings forth God’s song.

Accordion and Reed Organ

Angels play a musical organ in Heaven,
Cranked up to put all in a happy mood,
Casually accompanied by other instruments,
Outpouring music heard with bouncing notes and worn keys,
Ready for a dance, but also for song, and sighs,
Different accompaniment for God to hear in the clouds.
It’s unusual to hear it played in the stratosphere,
Original music for spirits to hear,
New unique sounds for God’s strange mood.

Reed Organ

Realms of moonbeams mixes with the sun rays,
Eternal deep notes from this organ is secular on Sundays,
Everyone sings to a hymn or a psalm,
Doubt is erased to a wave of notes from reeds to a slow calm.

Only heard at church for celebration, service or Mass,
Relief has reached us, when the moment will pass,
Givings of joy, peace, harmony, happiness and love,
Angels sing along to a percussionist above,
Nature sends a cue to release a dove.

Drums and Recorder

Deeply feel the rhythm of the beat,
Ripens the core of the heart to heal,
Usually the senses bring the world down in song,
Mostly vocal angels sing in a choir to music,
Soft tones for a spectacular tune to a tribal sound.

Rhythm from a woodwind instrument,
Equals the tune with harmony and melody,
Calms the soul with a soothing song,
Only God creates peace out of dissonance,
Reaches with long riffs to string beads,
Douses with your body, mind and soul,
Evens out the tune of a piano,
Remedy for the savaged soul.

This is such a lovely collection of poems on musical instruments. Very inspiring! If only I had taken flute lessons while younger, it may have helped me to enjoy peaceful moments fully. You have talent in writing, dear lady. God bless you.
